Privacy
How account.makion.dev handles your data. Last updated 17 July 2026.
What we store
- Your email address — it is your login, and it is how your licenses are found (they are matched to the address they were issued to).
- A hash of your password — scrypt. We cannot read your password, and neither can anyone who steals the database.
- Sessions — for each sign-in: the time, your IP address and browser user-agent, so you and we can tell a stranger's login from yours. The session cookie itself is stored only as a hash.
- Confirmation links — stored hashed, single-use, and deleted by expiry (24 hours).
- Failed sign-in counts — per address and per IP, to stop password guessing. Cleared on a successful sign-in.
That is the complete list. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no profiling, no third-party scripts — this page ships no JavaScript at all.
Cookies
Two, both strictly necessary — which is why you are not being asked to consent to them:
makion_portal— keeps you signed in. Expires in 14 days.makion_portal_anon— a short-lived token that protects the sign-in and registration forms from being submitted by another site on your behalf.
Neither is used to track you, and there is no third-party cookie of any kind. If that ever changes, you will be asked first.
Who else sees it
Nobody. This service runs on hardware we operate, the database never leaves it, and there is no third-party processor, analytics vendor or cloud service involved. Email we send you (confirmation links, license keys) is sent by our own mail server on the same machine.
How long we keep it
Your account for as long as it exists. Sessions expire after 14 days (or 3 days idle). Confirmation links expire in 24 hours. Failed-login counters are dropped after 15 minutes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and everything attached to it. Email support@makion.dev from the address on the account and we will do it.
Deleting your portal account does not cancel or delete a license you bought — those are separate records, kept because we are required to account for what we sold. Ask and we will explain exactly what remains.
